Selected by Summitcrest Farms as the top-selling two-year-old of the record-setting fall 2002 sale of America's largest Angus seedstock operation, this outstanding son of the rare and valuable carcass sire Rockn D Ambush 1531 has become a featured young sire in another of America's largest Angus seedstock operations. Ranking among the top 10% of young sires in the Spring 2004 NSE for both UREA EPD and $B, while balancing a BEPD among the lowest 15% of the population with a YEPD among the top 15%, Basin Ambush 8161 ranks among the top 20% for WEPD, IMF EPD, $F and $G with a U%RP EPD among the top 25% and a SC EPD above breed average. His dam from the mating of the now-deceased Pathfinder Sire Basin Max 602C to a Basin Pathfinder Dam balanced an average birth ratio of 97 with an average weaning ratio of 108 on her first three natural calves in the Basin Angus herd that registered more Angus cattle in 2003 than any other.
